Ingredients
- 4 roma tomatoes, halved lengthwise
- 1 yellow onion, sliced into thick rounds
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
- 10 large cloves of garlic
- 8 dried guajilo chiles, stemmed
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 6 habanero peppers, deseeded
- 2oz reposado tequila
Instructions
- Put tomatoes, onion, and garlic under broiler for 10-15 minutes (until brown)
- Combine then bring water, tequila, and cider to a boil. Turn off and add peppers to soak for 5 minutes.
